Thu 13 Aug 2026Level 3 results day: A level, AS & T Level (Applied Generals such as BTEC National on or before this date)

When is results day in 2026?

Results are grouped by level. Level 3 results - A level, AS and T Level, and Applied General qualifications such as BTEC National - are published on Thursday 13 August 2026. Level 2 results - GCSE, and Technical Qualifications such as BTEC Tech Award - are published on Thursday 20 August 2026. Many vocational and technical (VTQ) results are issued on or before the matching date; your school or college confirms the exact day. Source: Ofqual ↗

When is BTEC or T Level results day?

T Levels are issued alongside A levels on 13 August 2026. Other vocational and technical qualifications (VTQs) follow the same two dates by level: Level 3 VTQs such as BTEC National on or before 13 August, and Level 2 VTQs such as BTEC Tech Award on or before 20 August 2026. Source: Ofqual ↗

What will my results show?

You’ll get your grade for each subject. Schools and colleges receive results the day before and release them to students on results day; if you’ve applied to university, your UCAS status is typically updated on A-level results day. Source: Ofqual ↗

I’m disappointed with my results - what are my options?

Start by talking to your school or college. You can ask to see your marked paper through Access to Scripts and, if it looks warranted, request a review of marking - remembering a grade can go down as well as up. If a university place depends on it, ask about a priority review. Your school can also talk you through resits and next steps. Source: Ofqual ↗
