Reading 2022? 2022 was an exceptional, transitional year for grading - positioned roughly midway between the more generous 2021 arrangements and pre-pandemic (2019) standards. Treat 2022→2023 changes with caution rather than as a normal year-on-year trend.

18.9% achieved grade 7+ in 2025, compared with 19.3% in 2024 - down 0.4 percentage points. The grade 9 rate went from 3.7% to 3.5%.
