The insight
Pass rates range from 97.4% in Health to 75.1% in Onsite Construction. Placement completion, though, is high across nearly every pathway.

Outcomes vary widely by pathway

Pass rates range from 97.4% in Health down to 75.1% in Onsite Construction. The caring and professional-services pathways tend to have the highest pass rates; some of the construction and engineering pathways sit lower. Industry-placement completion, by contrast, is high almost everywhere (mostly above 95%).

A note on retention. The DfE publishes retention (how many starters stay to be assessed) for the programme as a whole, not by pathway. So this insight compares the results of those who reached assessment, pathway by pathway — not how many of each pathway’s starters were retained. Read pass rates alongside the learner funnel.
